Get involved in Birmingham's Million Minutes
From the moorlands of the north to the dreaming spires in the south, the Archdiocese of Birmingham is about to get its very own Million Minutes of silence - helping young people stand up for themselves and for other young people locally. So put the 6th of November in your diary and prepare to, well, be silent. We love the young people of Birmingham (read our blog - we were young people in Birmingham!) and we couldn't be more thrilled to be teaming up with BCYS.
And this page has all you need to get started. It couldn't be easier. Maybe you can stay silent, maybe you know some people who can, or maybe you've got some cash you'd like to give to someone staying silent. Whatever you think you can do, please do it. We need you! More information on all the ways to get involved is outlined below.

Going Local
This Autumn we're going local and kicking things off in Birmingham. If you're in the Archdiocese and want to get involved (and there's very much time to join His Grace the Archbishop and stay silent!) you're massively welcome. We're raising money specifically for the Andrew Robinson Young People's Trust and Alton Castle Youth Retreat Centre, among other things. Please click here to get started.

Stay silent
Fancy some time for yourself at someone else's expense? Reckon you can go without speaking, texting, Facebook, email or Twitter for up to 24 hours? Or reckon you and a group could stay silent together for an afternoon? Help us create a million minutes of silence and raise money for young people. It'll be amazing and as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Request new resources for Birmingham
We've completely refreshed our resources for the million minutes of silence in the Birmingham Archdiocese and they'll be ready on the day of the launch. They're aimed at anyone who's in
- a parish
- a primary school or
- a secondary school.
And they're the usual mix of brilliant ideas and super-handy tools that you've come to expect from us. So prepare to be dazzled and put your order in now using the form to the side. If you want more than one of things, or if you have any other queries, email
